Parish Pay
A Modern Way to Give The Church of the Ascension is now providing a more modern and convenient way to give to the church. Parish Pay is the country's largest religious donations processor. They collect gifts to the church automatically from either a church member’s checking account or credit card.
This system helps the church by ensuring more consistent donations, making it possible to be able to budget parish expenses and meet specific financial goals. Most churches experience dips in giving during the summer and winter months; Parish Pay makes it possible for the church to have a more predictable income.
Parishioners are able to donate safely and conveniently online. Parish Pay handles all tax documentation and provides a monthly giving report as well as weekly donation slips that can be placed in the basket during the offertory section of mass. Parishioners can direct their gifts to the church’s general account or to a specific collection, such as a capital campaign or for debt reduction. They even offer collection opportunities for one-time gifts.
While Parish Pay is ideal for parishioners who enjoy, and are used to, the convenience of making automatic payments on their other bills, it may not be right for everyone. Ascension will continue to use the collection baskets and the envelope system to collect gifts.
